A good performance in the 1st round of the Youth Cup resulted in a 3-0 victory for the Gordon Macdonald Electrical Kiama team over Albion Park White Eagles.

Kiama started strongly and grew in confidence as the game went on. The speed of strikers Luke Bedford & Craig Lord couldn't be matched by the opposition. Craig Lord opened the scoring for Kiama after good build up by the team. Luke Bedford slotted a second Kiama goal after we had defended strongly & our midfield continually put pressure on their opponents.
The new combination began to struggle late in the 1st half but came back strongly in the 2nd half to again control the majority of the game. Injuries to Scott Schofield & Craig Lord led to the Senior debut of James Spence & new recruit Wade Mathews.
Chris Hughes put the game beyond the reach of his former Club after a well flighted pass into the penalty box by Luke Bedford. This was a solid game from the whole squad & gives a good platform to start the 1st round of the season next week.
