KIAMA AND SOUTH COAST UNITED IN SEASON OPENER

Kiama’s Reserve Grade started the season with a new look team with a number of new faces in the side.  Damien Mason and Paul Woodcock started in midfield along with Noel Wurst up front to give the team a very strong look.  They played very well in parts but let themselves down in the communication stakes and let South Coast in for a 2 – 0 upset.  Both goals were defensive errors where it was obvious that defenders were not talking to each other and allowed opponents to sneak in and score.

Kiama should have won this game and looked by far the better team on the park.  They played well and defender Bim Schofield had a strong game alongside his brother Todd.  As with most Reserve Grade teams the boys really need to get to training and concentrate on teamwork.  These were definitely points lost.
