Kiama take the points after a frustrating game against Albion Park White Eagles. Kiama pressed the opposition continually at the start of the game but couldn't beat the offside trap set by Albion Park. A strong run down the left hand side of the pitch opened the Kiama defence and Albion Park took the lead with only 10 players at the 15 minute mark.
This gave the Kiama team a wake up call and Jai Cartwright burst through from his central defence position and struck a strong drive into the back of the gaol to equalise for the Quarriers.
The second half started the same as the first with Kiama pushing forward. Strong games in the centre of midfield by Scott Schofield and Danny Pridham kept the pressure on Albion Park and laid the foundation for the Kiama team's search for a winner. Poor options by the young Kiama team saw them continue to be caught offside but persistence eventually paid off and Ryan Omrod scored the winner.
Whilst the score line didn't show it, the Gordon Macdonald Electrical Kiama team created many chances and deserved their victory.
